Montreal(Canada) : Mercy Isaac (71) passed away peacefully in her home in Montreal, Canada on June 4th, 2025. She was born on May 13th, 1954 in Neendoor, Kottayam to (Late) K.C. Chacko B.A Kandarappallil and (Late) Annamma Chacko Kalarickal.
Mercy was a 1st Rank Holder at Kerala University’s B.Sc Home Science program in 1974 and completed her Masters Degree (M.Sc) as a Dietician from Madras University. She was a part of the NCC (National Cadet Corps - Officer Rank) alongside her academic studies.
She emigrated from India to Canada in the year of 1977.
She completed a Graduate Diploma in Computer Science once she came to Canada; she retired as a Senior IT Project Manager and Trainer from McGill University after 43 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, 2 children, daughter-in-law, 3 grandchildren, 7 siblings and their families:
Husband: Ninan Isaac Permpallikattu (Thiruvalla, currently in Montreal),
Son: Benjamin Isaac and his wife, Suzanne Guth, and their three children: Amelia Erica Isaac, Naomi Evelyn Isaac and Sophia Elizabeth Isaac.
Daughter: Dr. Sandhya Isaac
