Age 62, of Wood Dale, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025. Joseph was born on October 2, 1963, in Mumbai, India to loving parents, the late Mathai Mathew and Annamma Mathew. He came to the United States at age 10 and settled in Skokie, Illinois with his parents and siblings, James and Jessica.
After completing his education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Joseph went on to build a long and dedicated career at Advocate Health System, where he worked for over 30 years.
He married Sherin Mathews on December 23, 1987, and together they raised three children-Anthony, Angeline, and Alyssa. They eventually settled in Bensenville, Illinois, where they lived for 20 years.
After retiring, Joseph cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Elijah and Isabella. He devoted himself to caring for his mother and loved catching up with his friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Mathai Mathew. He is survived by his mother, Annamma Mathew; his wife, Sherin Mathews; his brother, James Mathew; his sister, Jessica Paulose (Pradeep); his children, Anthony, Angeline (Anup), and Alyssa (Amar); and his beloved grandchildren, Elijah and Isabella.
